Youth Present Check to Pioneer Center from Bake Sale

Update on Youth Bake Sale

On behalf of the RCLPC youth bake sale team, Iona and Malaina presented the Pioneer Center with a check for $1,130. The Pioneer Center is getting ready to install a new kitchen so this money will be put to good use. Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting our bake sale by purchasing items or sending in a donation. We are overwhelmed with the amount of money we were able to raise.

Our Summer of Service finished on a high note with our school supply collection and family worship. We collected the supplies needed to provide a bag for 35 children via Church World Services. It was a beautiful night to collect the supplies and worship together.

Our Summer of Service- No Cape Tour may be complete but our minds and hearts are already working on more ways to serve. The CROP Walk is fast approaching (September 27) and the first weekend of November will be a service weekend with other youth groups throughout Northern Illinois. Stay tuned for details. Hmmm....what will we do in October?!

Youth Bake Sale

The youth of RCLPC sold delicious treats to benefit the Pioneer Center Homeless Shelter.

They made this a safe and fun event for all.

Bake Sale

Day of Service at Stronghold

The youth visited Stronghold to share their love with others, with the hopes that their work will allow others to hear God in such a beautiful place. It was a hot one, but so worth their time, as they got their hands dirty and showed love to a place that has brought them great joy.

Parking Lot VBS

Our youth were at it again sharing God's love with our RCLPC kids and friends. Brynn, Samuel, and Iona helped plan and deliver a Parking Lot VBS for 9 children. We traveled to Honduras using the Living Waters for the World VBS curriculum (shout out to Rick for sharing this with us). Thank you to Anthony for helping throughout the morning, Paula for leading the kids on a tour of Rosa's home and life in Honduras, and Sherri for leading our children during our music segment. Thank you also to John for stopping by to say hi and send us off in prayer. It was a morning to remember and I am so grateful for the time.
