This week make a special dinner with your family and set the table in a special way to honor God. What should the table look like? What will you have to eat? Be sure to take a picture and share it with all of us on Sunday. Enjoy this dinner with a special movie, the story of Moses, Prince of Egypt. You can rent it at the library, on Amazon Prime, Hulu, or YouTube movies.

Week 4: October 11
Bible Verses -
Exodus 32:1-14
The Story of Moses and the Burning Bush

Discussion
Would you leave your home to follow what God is asking you to do? Why or why not?
Verses- Exodus 2-3

This week we will delve into the idea of Called & Chosen and learn about God talking to Moses and the Burning Bush. Ideas for at home learning this week:

  1. We started talking last week about what we are called to do. This week as a family you will make a family time capsule to be opened in ten years. Put items in the time capsule that will be fun to find in 5 years. Make predictions about what you will be like in 5 years. Who do you think will be president? What major events will happen? Write a note to your future self about being called. What do you think you will be called to do?
  2. Create a poster and join in the car parade to honor Pastor John's 10-year celebration and how he has responded to his call for you and the church.
  3. Watch the video.

Hopefully all of this helps your child feel connected to the church,
to God, to your family and to other children in the church!
